Rooting an Android Phone

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3. How can I root it for free? Everything I find has to pay. Sadly, I don’t even work, I’m still in College and the money I get is to pay for my food and school stuff. All provided from my mother, who also gave me money which I used some to buy this bot because it was my birthday at the time.

Double and triple check your device and firmware versions every step of the way, any flashing process has the potential to brick a device if the procedure isn’t followed properly.
